Valley County Noxious Weed Certification

The Valley Soil and Water Conservation District supports noxious weed education and certification programs that help landowners identify, manage, and control invasive plant species threatening Valley County. Noxious weeds reduce agricultural productivity, degrade wildlife habitat, lower property values, and outcompete native plants—making effective management essential for protecting our natural resources and economy.

Through certification training, landowners gain the knowledge and tools needed to recognize priority weed species, understand control methods, and comply with county weed management requirements. The District provides resources, technical guidance, and connections to experts who can help develop effective weed management plans tailored to your property and goals.
